The Perry World House creates a gathering place where Penn students and faculty engage with eminent international scholars and policymakers on pressing global issues of the 21st century. As a hub for international exchange and activity, the Perry World House anchors Penn's global resources on an interdisciplinary campus while creating partnerships abroad.
Perry World House's central initiative, The Global Solutions Program, brings eminent scholars and policy makers together to work on solving pervasive international challenges. It also hosts symposia, conferences, and speakers' series, conducts outreach on a different issue each year, and offers students a variety of new learning opportunities.
The World Forum, a central meeting place, can accommodate 150 guests for important lectures and special events. In addition, the building program includes a 25-30 student classroom, a 40 person conference room, and a flex-space with a seating capacity of 50, as well as 14 offices for program directors, visiting scholars and staff. A welcoming forecourt along Locust Walk provides a landscaped outdoor gathering space.
